Custom Home Projects

Frame to Finish Home
Underhill VT

An autumn build from several seasons ago, this new build went up efficiently. Part timber frame, part dimensional lumber, the project overlays old-school joinery with modern surrounding finishes such as seamless metal siding. Thankful for opportunities like this. Subcontracted for Treetop Builders.

Underhill Colonial

Our team constructed this hilltop home and is currently in the process of building an epic wrap around feature porch on this home. As we began framing this home in the winter, this project posed several challenges. In true design-build fashion, we were able to pivot when our clients decided to make some adaptations to their original plans as they saw their space develop from concept to reality, and we continue to embrace the extra lengths that are required to make their home truly custom and aligned with their vision.

Home Addition Projects

Cape Home Addition
Richmond VT

Using the space you’re given to the fullest potential is something we excel in with our breadth of experience with tying in new additions to existing homes. This two bedroom, two bathroom expansion adds a significant amount of improved space to aid in our clients’ family needs, and one of the unique elements is that it features an extra deep basement ‘bunker’ that will house a golf simulator! This project is currently in the drywall phase, so stay tuned for finish photos in the coming months.

Family Room Vaulted Addition in Williston

One of our first addition projects, it was a pleasure to build this Great Room for our clients. Featuring a vaulted ceiling with real douglas fir timbers and a fully custom gable wall window array, the natural light in the space is powerful. Radiant floor under tile nicely compliments the ambiance of the wood stove, creating a rather comfy space that the family assures us now is their most widely used room in their home! The side door opens to the back deck of the home that we covered with engineered Ash decking that really makes a bold statement. Thankful for this opportunity.

Garage Addition in Suburban Jericho

A classic example of the attached garage, added after initial construction, but drastically improving the value of this home. While unfinished on the interior, the footprint of this garage is rather deep, allowing space for multiple vehicles, while the second story features full length attic storage space. Overlaying the hip roof from the existing space to the new added a slight bit of complexity that made this simple garage job that much more interesting.

Jeffersonville 4-Season Porch Build

Our most epic screened-in porch to date, this build is just simply overflowing with trim detail at every angle. Picture-framed composite decking, edge and center bead ceilings, full height screen walls set on pvc-wrapped curbs, posts, and beams, with a complex roofline and snaplock metal roofing panels…this is a porch overlooking a fantastic view in remote Vermont - a dream for many and something our team was happy to be a part of.

Dormer and Garage Apartment ADU in Jericho

Making great use of available space was the plan with this epic addition. A full length shed dormer was built to make more space over the existing house, with renovations to the existing 1st and 2nd floor spaces, and all new windows and doors on the front face of this residence. This work was coupled with a new garage to replace the old with a primary master suite on top. More space for more family!

It was a pleasure to work with structural engineering firm HBI Vermont on this project that involved tying many areas of new framing to outdated old framing. We rely highly on collaboration with our design professionals to ensure the best for our clients, and that work has enabled some great visions to come to life.

Williston ADU - Garage and Studio Apartment

With storage on the bottom and living space on the top, this quick summer build is the first phase of an even larger endeavor. Currently the apartment serves as a rental for our clients, but in the future it will serve as a home for the owners while their primary residence, the adjacent farmhouse, is renovated and restored. Featuring vinyl board and batten siding with metal fascia trim, this simple project palate created a clean and cost-effective exterior finish. Inside features LVP floors and builder-grade cabinetry, offering durability and quality presentation without stressing the overall project budget.

Renovation & Remodel Projects

Richmond Cape Kitchen

The first phase of an entire home renovation (and prequel to a currently in-process addition) that has been evolutionary for the family it was built for. We worked with a structural engineer and our team of subcontractors to remove several walls and create a more open concept for this 1970s cape home. Weaving old floors into new, installing custom and locally sourced cabinets, relocating supply & waste lines, and seemingly endless drywall created a more warm and welcoming space that our clients and all whom they host for can enjoy for many years to come.

Jericho Modern Kitchen Remodel

Our clients wanted to make the old home they bought their own, so they called us to remodel the majority of their first floor during mud season. All new floors, doors, custom cabinets, tile backsplashes and fireplace surround. New paint and a new space. We are proud of the amazing end product crafted by our carpenters and team of subcontractors.

Cambridge Roof Vaulting

At the base of Mount Mansfield, improved views of Vermont’s highest peak were the paramount priority for our project owners. We removed the standard flat ceiling of the dining and kitchen areas of the home and raised the finished ceiling structure into a vaulted, cathedral style slope with full height custom gabled picture windows to view Vermont’s highest peak. To finish off the space, we installed reclaimed, rustic barn beams from a structure that a neighbor donated from a mile and a half down the road. A new standing seam roof to cap all our new work was the cherry on top.

Exterior Projects

Morristown Siding and Window Replacement

The improvement is evident. From old and faded white vinyl siding to all new harbor blue. All windows replaced with Marvin units. White coil stock metal fascia trim. And a bigger mudroom because the old was found to be completely rotten. Curb appeal boosted for our friends up in Morristown. We will miss all the fresh baked treats and good laughs provided by our wonderful clients.

Siding Installation
St. Albans

A simple new construction siding, fascia, and soffit project. Classic ‘double 4’ clapboard-style vinyl siding, j-channel and accessories, vinyl soffit, and custom metal fascia. Vinyl is a cost effective way to finish out a new build, or to replace older exterior products, and we are proficient with it. This project was situated on a hillside overlooking the great city of St. Albans below.

Commercial Projects

Leo & Co.
Essex Junction VT

A complete renovation and project management of a commercial space fit up, replacing the old Sweet Clover Market with a new business - Leo and Co! New needs for the new space. Steel studs and partition walls. All new commercial kitchen configuration and appliance layout and installation. New lighting array and data distribution. Custom millwork at the front end service area. A fun project right at the heart of the local community.

Counseling Collective
Hinesburg VT

Working for wonderful folks who do great work for the community, was an honor to be selected to complete the conversion of this physicians office into multiple therapy spaces. Lots of soundproofing insulation and channel, drywall, commercial birch doors, electrical updates, new carpet, and new trim in this one. Make sure to keep an eye out for the photo featuring or jobsite pup, Remi, who helped route out some door hinges.

Thanks as well to our local subcontractors RG Electric, Black Mtn. Mechanical, Flooring America and Gaiotti Painting for their help.
